Why These Recordings Exist<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Living in Durr\u00ebs for the past 18 months, I love the culture and the people, but I struggled to break through the language barrier. Despite my best efforts, progress felt slow. That changed completely when I joined Michele\u2019s Spring and Summer Class. In just five months<\/strong>, I have learned more Albanian than I did in my entire 18 months here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her method simply clicked for me. Realizing how valuable this approach was, I wanted to find a way to preserve what she teaches us so it could help us and others beyond our classroom. While video recordings felt too intrusive and heavy, audio recordings<\/strong> captured the essence of her lessons perfectly. I hope these recordings serve as a helpful resource for anyone else trying to connect with the beautiful local language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meet Your Instructor: Michele<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Who is Michele?<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michele<\/strong> is a retired language teacher with a background in linguistics who has spent decades teaching four different languages. Throughout her career, she developed a deep understanding of how languages work, from grammar and sentence structure to vocabulary and pronunciation, and has studied the mechanics of as many as fourteen languages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is quick to point out that she is not an Albanian language expert and continues to learn herself. Her Albanian language journey grew out of personal frustration. When she first moved to Albania, she could not find a learning method that suited her analytically trained, linguistically trained mind. Instead of giving up, she began breaking the language down herself, identifying patterns and building a structured approach that makes Albanian grammar and pronunciation more accessible for fellow foreign learners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Volunteer Community Initiative!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is important to note that Michele offers these classes strictly as a voluntary, unpaid community service<\/strong>. She receives no salary or financial compensation for her teaching. This initiative is her way of giving back to the community that welcomed her, ensuring that her work remains a personal contribution to local culture rather than commercial employment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
