Team Workshops
Practical sessions that give your team one shared way of working on customer knowledge, member experience or community, built around your actual situation rather than a generic curriculum.
For support, customer education and community teams who need everyone working to the same standard, and for leaders bringing a new team together.
The problem
Signals you will recognise
If several of these are true, a workshop will do more for your team than another document will.
- Everyone on your team answers the same customer question a different way.
- You have documentation standards written down and no shared understanding of them.
- A new team has come together from several places and each part still works its own way.
- Your team knows what the standard is and not why it matters, so it slips under pressure.
- You have made a decision about how the team will work and need them to own it rather than hear it.
- Training so far has been generic, and nobody applied any of it afterwards.
How it works
How a workshop comes together
The session is designed around your material, not delivered from a shelf.
-
1
Scoping conversation
Before you commit
We talk about how your team works now, what needs to be different afterwards, and how many people are involved. You receive session options and the confirmed fee in writing before you commit to anything.
-
2
Design
Two weeks before
We build the session around your own material. Your articles, your member communications, your community. Generic examples are used only where yours cannot be shared.
-
3
The workshop
On the day
Half day or full day, in person or online. Working sessions rather than presentation, with your team producing something real that they keep.
-
4
Follow up note
Within one week
A written summary of what the team agreed, the standard they set and what happens next, so the session does not evaporate the moment everyone returns to the queue.
Scope
What you receive
A workshop that leaves something behind, rather than a day everyone enjoyed and then forgot.
-
A session built on your material
Designed around your own articles, your own members and your own community, so the team practises on the work they will go back to.
-
Something the team produces and keeps
Each workshop ends with the team having made something real, such as a shared standard, a rewritten set of articles or a written decision record.
-
A written follow up note
What was agreed, what standard the team set and what happens next. Sent within a week and written to be shared with people who were not there.
What is not included
- This is not a certification course. There is no assessment and no qualification attached to it.
- We do not provide ongoing coaching or manage the changes afterwards unless we agree that separately.
- Travel and accommodation for in person sessions are charged at cost and shown separately on the invoice.
Questions
Questions people ask before booking
How many people can attend?
Up to twelve works well for a working session. Above that it becomes a presentation, which is a different thing and usually less useful. Tell us your numbers and we will say honestly which one you would be getting.
Half day or full day?
Half day suits one topic and a single team. Full day suits several teams who need to agree a shared standard between them. We will recommend one after the scoping conversation.
In person or online?
Both work. Online sessions are split into shorter blocks rather than run straight through, because a full day on a video call teaches nobody anything. In person adds travel at cost.
Why does the price start at €1,000 rather than being fixed?
Because the length, the number of people and the amount of design work all vary. You receive the actual fee in writing after the scoping conversation and before you commit to anything.
What topics do you cover?
Customer knowledge and documentation, member experience and onboarding, and community structure and moderation. If your need sits between those, say so and we will tell you honestly whether it is work we should take on.
Can you run the same workshop for several teams?
Yes, and the fee per session falls when they are booked together. Tell us how many sessions you need on the enquiry form.
Tell us what your team needs
Describe your team and what you need to be different afterwards. We will send session options and a confirmed fee.
